  5. Is it bad that the only name I recognize is Elana's? :D

    Enjoy your conference.

    1. nope. I just know them because I've seen them at multiple conferences and taken classes form them. Brandon does adult fantasy and he has written the last books in the Wheel of Time series. Dan wrote I am not a serial killer. James wrote the Maze Runner series and Stacy is owner of Tu publishing, an imprint of Lee and Low and she does YA mulit-cultural scifi and fantasy books.

    2. Seriously, I'm all for it. Do you know her personally, because right now I just feel like a psycho online stalker.

    3. I met her several years ago at LTUE and took her to dinner. She is interested in one of my manuscripts.

  7. I'll have to live through you so take excellent notes! And try not to drool on Brandon Sanderson. That's what I'd do.

And thanks for commenting on my tiny little blog! I'm writing a Beauty and the Beast story as well. Actually it's on the back burner while I *gulp* revise my NaNo)

    1. Ha ha. I took a novel writing class from Brandon several years ago at BYU. That's where I started my Beauty and the Beast story. What a coincidence that you're doing one too. Good luck with your Nano revision!

  8. LUCKY!

Wish I was nearby, as so many of my blogger/writer buddies are going to this event. Maybe one day - my wife was talking about wanting to move to Utah.

  10. Hey :) Thanks for the kind comments on my blog....I replied there, but does anyone actually go back and see?

So...in response....I don't know how close I am to finishing...I'm hoping a few months. And, yes, I'm planning on sending it to the same agent and hoping she has a tiny wee spark of recognition. Have a fun time at the conference this weekend! I really wanted to go, but my husband (and babysitter) will be gone on the klondike with the boy scouts. So, please share your notes!
